AP Specialist Full Time

PrideNow is hiring an AP Specialist! This is a direct hire opportunity in Piscataway, NJ for one our food manufacturing clients.

Shift: 1^st shift hours (In office 3 days M and W a must,the other day is up to the candidate, During training 4 days in & WFH Fridays)

Salary: $55k to $60k annually

Job Description

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Cost Accounting Manager, the Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for Accounts Payable and will assist with Inventory Reconciliation and transaction processing.

What You’ll Do:

• Responsible for Accounts Payable processing and utilizing the 3-Way Match Process to ensure billing accuracy.
• Review purchase order item coding and ensure correct treatment of general ledger accounts.
• Ensure all Accounts Payables Billing has been approved by management and validate signatures.
• Responsible for daily and month-end bank reconciliations.
• Responsible for enforcing T&E Policy and ensure that the T&E activity is properly coded to the correct general.
• ledger accounts.
• Code all corporate cards spend to the correct general ledger accounts and collect and file all credit card receipts.
• Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors including the collection of W-9’s and
• compiling invoice support for weekly payments to vendors.
• Assist with auditing physical inventory counts on a quarterly basis.
• Reconcile month-end physical inventory count to ERP system’s generated reports.
• Assist with field work for financial audits.

What you’ll Need:

Skills and qualifications

• 4+ years Accounts Payable experience preferably in food and beverage industry, manufacturer, or distributor.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
• QuickBooks experience a plus.
• Must have experience with NetSuite.
• Proficient in MS Office Especially Excel.
• Experience with an ERP system and inventory costing and control.
• Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Solution-oriented and comfortable taking initiative.
• Ability to juggle multiple high-priority tasks at once and excited to join a high-growth company.
