Maintenance Technician

PAY RATE: $18.31-25/HR D.O.E.

Schedule: Mon – Fri, Occasional mandated overtime through 12 hour shifts or weekends

1st Shift : 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

We are seeking a talented individual to join their team in Manassas, VA, bringing strong maintenance expertise in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on troubleshooting equipment for optimal functionality.

Responsibilities:

– Prioritize safety as the utmost concern throughout the plant, adhering to federal, local, and company regulations.
– Perform repairs and maintenance on diverse equipment within the plant, covering machinery involved in manufacturing, as well as auxiliary processing equipment like conveyors, pneumatic components, motors, vessels, valves, seals, pumps, piping, and instrumentation.
– Apply expertise to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with manufacturing equipment in a prompt and efficient manner, especially within a dynamic and time-sensitive production environment.
– Collaborate daily with fellow technicians and operators to evaluate equipment performance and address maintenance challenges.
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date work records using software systems.
– Understand and follow standard operating procedures for various tasks, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
– Contribute to various tasks that enhance the overall plant operation.

Requirements:

– Preferred experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. Candidates with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in manufacturing will also be considered.
– Intermediate-level technical aptitude, demonstrating a solid understanding of mechanical and technical concepts.
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively train others as per established procedures.
– Basic computer skills, enabling the use of software systems for communication and record-keeping.
– Profound understanding of general principles and practices related to industrial maintenance.
– Intermediate-level knowledge of industrial tools, including their applications and maintenance requirements.
– Capability to identify opportunities for workflow improvements and suggest enhancements to standard procedures.
– Flexibility to work overtime and extended hours based on client and company demands.

Education:  
High School Diploma, Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree

Additional Skills (Desired but not Required):  
Candidates with expertise in electrical systems, HVAC, instrumentation, and industrial controls will receive special consideration.
